***Attention 5th-8th grade parents: Students are allowed to wear tennis shoes FOR P.E. PURPOSES ONLY. The students will be able to keep tennis shoes in their lockers during the week. Tennis shoes for P.E. must still be solid white, gray, or burgundy (same shoe policy as last year.)
****PARENTS: Please make sure to write your child's name in both of their shoes with a permanent marker. Many are exactly alike which will cause confusion when they are taken off for P.E. and other activities.

BAZAAR NEWS:
Our annual bazaar is approaching. It is scheduled for September 25 & 26, 2010. A lot of fun filled events are scheduled for the bazaar. We are celebrating the 50th Anniversary of our school. Students who bring in a bingo prize, will get a free jean day at a later date. We are taking orders for bazaar t-shirts, you should have already received a packet with an order form in it, but if not you can print an order form from the FORMS section of this site. These t-shirts will have the 50th Anniversary Seal on the front.
**We will again have an RCS Garage Sale at the bazaar. Anyone wishing to donate items to the garage sale can start gathering their items. NO CLOTHES please and drop off will be on Thursday, September 23, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. in the Parish Hall.
Safe Environment Training
A Safe Environment Training for the Protection of Children & Young People session will be held on August 25, 2010 for the Continuing Education for any adult that works with children in our High School CCD program or any RCS parent. Any parent wishing to volunteer or participate in an RCS field trip or sponsored event MUST have this training. The class will be at 10:00 a.m. and at 6:15 p.m. in the Parish Life Center.

PTC NEWS
The school bazaar is fast approaching. As usual, the PTC is in charge of the arts and crafts booth, as well as the country kitchen. As we celebrate 50 years of Redemptorist Catholic School, we are looking for parents, grandparents, friends, neighbors, and alumni to donate something to our booths. This could be crocheted items, needlepoint, canned fruits, and vegetables, or anything of the sort. Let's help make our bazaar a big success. To make a donation, please contact:

St. Jude Hospital Fundraiser
Sacre' Couer Ladies Auxillary and KC 5499 are collecting pop tops for St. Jude Hospital to help pay their electricity bills. You may bring these to school in Ziploc bags. Auxillary members, Bernadette Cormier and Monica Bertrand, will pick them up in the school office.
Bingo
IHM Parish sponsors a Monday night bingo in the Parish Hall weekly. The proceeds from this helps the parish and our school with needed maintenance. We are in need of parents to help.
