Principal's Comments:

It is good to be back in school after the 2 unexpected days off. We will not need to make up the days missed unless we experience another unexpected school closure. We will not have an early dismissal on March 7th to help make up for some of the minutes missed. You may want to change your school calendar to note this adjustment.

The broken pipe under the concrete slab of the cafeteria must have been leaking for several months. Our water bills for the last 2 months were higher than normal.

We welcome back the 8th graders from their Washington, D.C. trip. They said it was very educational and enjoyable. Thanks to Father and everyone else who helped make this trip possible.

This newsletter will serve to keep you informed of this week's as well as next week's happenings, due to 2 short weeks.

It is important that students get to school on time. The opening of the school day with prayer, Mass, or  Way of the Cross is an important part of what makes Redemptorist a Catholic school. During lent, Father will lead the student body in the Way of the Cross every Friday at 8AM. Parents and guests are invited.

Tomorrow we will have a Mardi Gras Parade sponsored by the KG and PK classes in the gym for the entire school at 1:30. Parents and guests are invited to attend this event.

We are continuing to register students for next school year. If you have not registered, please do so as soon as possible.

~Mr. Louis Cramer

 RCS is CyberSmart!

Redemptorist Catholic School is committed to providing our students with a safe online experience. Even though we have software installed to protect our students while they are surfing the net at school, it is still important to educate them on how to be responsible and safe digital citizens. Our students in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 7th grades are learning about cyber safety and security through curriculum provided by CommonSenseMedia.Org. Common Sense Media also provides material for parents. The material includes safety tips for all media sources, as well as media reviews, social networking information, cyberbullying advice, advice about the impact media has on children and much more. There is also a free Common Sense Media App  you can download for your iphone.
